Actor Park Seo Joon has shared a heartwarming story about how his donation helped save a precious life.
On April 29, Park Seo Joon posted a handwritten letter on his personal social media account. The letter was written by the family of a patient who was able to undergo a hematopoietic stem cell transplant surgery thanks to Park Seo Joon’s donation.
Alongside the letter’s photo, Park Seo Joon wrote, "It reminds me once again to live diligently. I hope we meet again in good health."

According to the letter, the family of a child diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2024 was going through severe emotional and financial struggles. However, they found hope again after receiving support from Park Seo Joon.
The letter reads, "When we told our child that Park Seo Joon had sponsored the surgery, they were so surprised. They couldn’t believe someone so famous had helped them. The child said they would recover well and one day become famous too so they could meet and thank you in person. It was the first time in a long while that our family laughed. Your precious support gave us hope and courage. We promise to live as a family that helps others, too."
Park Seo Joon also shared a separate letter he received from Samsung Medical Center, which stated, "Recently, a patient was able to receive surgery thanks to a donation. To us, a donor who gives someone the courage to stand again and hope to live again is like the spring."
Meanwhile, Park Seo Joon has recently been confirmed to star in JTBC’s upcoming drama Waiting for Humanity (tentative title).
