Actor Ha Jung Woo has updated fans with his noticeably slimmer appearance, revealing he recently underwent appendicitis surgery.
On the April 28 broadcast of TV Chosun’s Lovers of Joseon, Lee Kyung Shil and Son Bo Seung's family were shown attending the premiere of Ha Jung Woo’s new film.
During the episode, Lee Kyung Shil expressed her affection for her daughter-in-law, saying, “I came to the premiere because my daughter-in-law is so lovely, and I admire how she’s raising my son.”

Son Bo Seung also mentioned that his wife is a huge fan of Ha Jung Woo. “Ha Jung Woo is my role model,” he said, adding with a laugh, “But I feel a little jealous.” He was even seen trying to get Ha Jung Woo’s autograph for his wife, drawing warm smiles.

At the premiere, Lee Kyung Shil actively greeted stars like Kim Eui Sung, Choi Siwon, Im Hyung Jun, Lee Seung Gi, and Kwon Yul, and made efforts to introduce her son Bo Seung. However, Bo Seung appeared a bit shy, saying, “I just feel like I’m tagging along with my mom.”

Then, Ha Jung Woo made a surprise appearance, catching everyone off guard. Lee Kyung Shil greeted him warmly, and Ha Jung Woo recognized her and returned the greeting. Noticing his slimmed-down appearance, Lee commented, “You look thinner,” to which Ha Jung Woo replied, “I lost weight after having appendicitis surgery.”
Fans reacted with a mix of concern and relief at his update, happy to see him but hoping for a healthy recovery.
