BTS member Jungkook has achieved a remarkable benchmark in his career by securing a Platinum Certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for his solo track, "Seven" featuring Latto.
According to Big Hit Music, on November 7, "Seven" received the RIAA platinum certification, which is given to songs that have sold over 1 million copies in the United States.
Prior to this, Jungkook had already flaunted his significant reach in the music market by receiving an RIAA Gold certification for his song "Left and Right," which was a collaboration with the renowned artist Charlie Puth last year.
The RIAA systematically awards certifications by amalgamating digital sales and digital downloads, along with audio and video streams. It works with graduating tiers of recognition, starting from Gold for a breakthrough of 500,000 units, Platinum for surpassing the 1 million mark, Multi-Platinum for exceeding 2 million units, and finally, Diamond for crossing the colossal 10 million units.
Jungkook independently released his solo album, fittingly titled 'Golden.' This compilation is a rich assortment of 11 melodious tracks, including the now platinum-certified "Seven."
The success of "Seven" represents another milestone for Jungkook, marking yet another commendable accomplishment in his journey as a solo artist. With 'Golden,' he establishes his musical prowess beyond the group dynamics of BTS, exploring his individual artistry and pushing the boundaries of his musical career.
