Will this be the last release for Red Velvet? Fans are wondering if 'Chill Kill' will mark Red Velvet's final release after a recent update

Red Velvet is gearing up for their much-anticipated return to the music scene with their third studio album 'Chill Kill,' accompanied by a series of teasers that have sent fan excitement soaring.

Yet amidst the growing anticipation, a cloud of speculation has gathered among the fandom. Recent updates on the girl group's social media pages have featured cryptic messages that have left fans wondering if this could potentially be Red Velvet's swansong as a group. The ambiguity of these posts has sparked discussions and curiosity about the future of the iconic group.

Red Velvet's official Instagram page used to display "Red Velvet Official. Red Velvet 'The ReVe Festival 2022 - Birthday" and various Instagram story highlights that fans could see. However, recently, it has been updated to "Happy Ending. It's Just a Story of Us," with all the highlight videos taken down.

This has caused many fans to be concerned that the "Happy Ending" message was an indication of a possible last album from the group.

One fan asked in a popular online community, "Is this album Red Velvet's last?" and many other fans joined the community to share new information and thoughts.

They commented, "It's their concept~ even during 'Dumb Dumb' they shared on Instagram feed that they would upload teasers~" "There's no group in SM that is as conceptual as Red Velvet. So, SM won't do anything ridiculous like getting rid of Red Velvet," "Would this be their last? Really?" "It won't be their last for sure," "It must be their concept. It can't be," "It's only their 3rd full album, how can it be their last?" and "It's definitely their concept. It won't be their last."

As Red Velvet's 'Chill Kill' sparks both excitement and speculation among fans, the ambiguity of the recent updates on their social media pages leaves many pondering the group's future. While the question of whether this will be their final release lingers, the loyal fandom remains hopeful, trusting in the group's distinctive concepts and their label, SM Entertainment.
