In the current South Korean entertainment business, overseas promotion has become a 'necessary course'. There is one notable idol group that hopes of successfully entering the international entertainment market like their fellow idol stars, according to recent report made to allkpop by Pledis Entertainment.
The group, which has been taken notice of since before their debut as the 'After School Boys', and has worked to make themselves known with their flashy and powerful performance with songs "Face" and "Action" , is none other than NU'EST.
Only 4 weeks into their debut, the rookie group was chosen as the '2012 Best Rookie Artist' by international fans. In addition, as the 'representatives of teens', the group was chosen as the representatives for the 'Korean Scout Association'. Just recently, NU'EST successfully opened for the 'K-Dream Live' concert in Tokyo, where they received much love from the audience, signaling a successful first step into the international music market.
NU'EST plans to hold a fan-meeting and showcase for their 'NU'EST The 1st Face to Face in Thailand' event to be held in Thailand's 'Siam Paragon Paraguay Royal Grand' this month. Following promotions in Thailand, they will continue on to Australia mid August, then onto Singapore during December to meet with their overseas fans. Although just a rookie group, they have been receiving interview requests from various media outlets with the news of their upcoming visits overseas.
Netizens who heard the news responded, "It's daebak they already have international fans", "It's good to see them slowly progressing", "I'm excited to see how they'll mature in the future", and more.
The up-and-coming group has already been receiving love calls from Japan, China, and more. All are anticipating the next moves of fearless rookies, NU'EST, who plan to work diligently towards developing K-POP into 'ASIA-POP'.
