Dr. Yang Jae Woong has issued a statement regarding the patient death incident at his hospital.
On July 29th, through his agency Mystic Story, Yang Jae Woong said, "Regarding the incident that occurred during the hospitalization process at W Jin Hospital, both myself and the entire medical staff are deeply saddened and cannot hide our profound grief. We sincerely apologize to the bereaved family who are in sorrow over the loss of their loved one."
He continued, "As the hospital director, I take this incident very seriously. We are doing our utmost to cooperate with external agencies, providing medical charts and CCTV footage that captures the situation at the time of the incident."
Furthermore, he stated, "Under the current medical law, medical practitioners are obligated not to disclose patient treatment details, so we ask for your understanding that we cannot answer specific questions in detail. Both myself and all medical staff will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation and will sincerely fulfill our responsibilities based on medical and legal judgments."
Previously, it was reported that a female patient in her 30s, identified as A, had died at the hospital operated by Yang Jae Woong. A was reportedly hospitalized for treatment of addiction to diet pills containing narcotic substances.

Hello, this is Yang Jae Woong.
First of all, regarding the incident that occurred during the hospitalization process at W Jin Hospital, both myself and the entire medical staff are deeply saddened and cannot hide our profound grief. We sincerely apologize to the bereaved family who are in sorrow over the loss of their loved one.
This incident occurred at the hospital where I serve as the representative, and as the hospital director of W Jin Hospital, I take this incident very seriously.
We are doing our utmost to cooperate with external agencies, providing medical charts and CCTV footage that captures the situation at the time of the incident.
We ask for restraint in speculative writings and sensational reports regarding the treatment process and the incident, as the investigation is still ongoing.
Under the current medical law, medical practitioners are obligated not to disclose patient treatment details, so we ask for your understanding that we cannot answer specific questions in detail.
Both myself and all medical staff will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation and will sincerely fulfill our responsibilities based on medical and legal judgments.
