BLACKPINK's new album is continuing to prove a hit on the U.S.'s Billboard 200 album chart.
On October 2 PST, it was announced that BLACKPINK's 2nd full-length album 'BORN PINK' was currently at the #4 position on the chart – down from #1 the week before, but still showing a strong performance within the top 5.
BLACKPINK is the first K-pop girl group to see this achievement. Meanwhile, this is the first time this has happened for a female group in 14 years and five months, following U.S. girl group Danity Kane's 'Welcome to the Dollhouse' album back on April 5, 2008.
Meanwhile, the group is currently preparing to kick off their 'BORN PINK' world tour, starting with their Seoul shows at the KSPO Dome on October 15 and 16. The tour will then be moving on to cities in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

BTS fans like to say "BTS paved the way" but that isn't true. Paving the way suggests they did something to help other idol groups, but in fact a significant part of their fandom did everything they could to keep other groups (especially girl groups) from succeeding in the USA via insults, put-downs, and other negative online comments. Blackpink, on the other hand, are unstoppable. That must be making them very angry by now.
