Big Bang's G-Dragon has been revealed to be the idol with the highest incomes from royalties.
The June 4th broadcast of SBS's 'Good Day' revealed the top three artists who make the most money from royalties, and they were none other than B2ST's Yong Junhyung, Kang Ta, and Big Bang's G-Dragon.
B2ST's Yong Junhyung came in at number 3. He has personally written and composed a number of songs that hit it big, including some for his own group B2ST. Thanks to his song-writing talent, he is currently the member with the highest income. On a previous episode of MBC's 'Radio Star', Junhyung had also remarked that the amount of royalties he receives is beyond overwhelming.
Singer and Director at SM Entertainment Kang Ta came in at second place, he has more than 100 songs registered with the Korean Music Copyright Association, and he is known to earn close to $430,000 a year from royalties alone.
And G-Dragon who came in first place previously came in first place again. He previously bragged on the April 20th broadcast of SBS's 'Go Show' that he is responsible for writing, composing and producing songs, and that he makes an impressive profit off his royalties alone. Impressive indeed, as the singer-songwriter was reported to earn over $800,000 a year from just the royalties.
