Actor Lee Jun Young opened up about his honest thoughts on 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'

On April 29, fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar Korea released a pictorial and interview with Lee Jun Young for its May issue.

In the photoshoot, Lee Jun Young showcased a variety of poses with casual styling, exuding charm on par with that of a professional model. He flawlessly radiated his natural yet free-spirited vibe.

The interview, conducted after the shoot, focused on the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' which has achieved explosive popularity, ranking in the Top 10 in 39 countries around the world.

In the series, Lee Jun Young plays Park Yeong Bum, a devoted boyfriend who only has eyes for his girlfriend Geum Myung (played by IU). When asked, “Why did he (Yeong Bum) do that during the parents' meeting?” he humorously responded, “Exactly, why didn’t he scoop the scorched rice soup? Everyone keeps asking me these days, and honestly, I was frustrated too,” drawing laughter.

He added, “My mom has already rewatched the drama four or five times. She says she cries every time. Our family has never really talked in depth about any of my projects before, but since 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' deals with family love that resonates across generations, I think that made it possible,” and expressed immense affection for the drama.

Lee Jun Young also recently transformed into Geum Sung Je in the Netflix series 'Weak Hero Class 2,' which premiered on April 25.

Regarding the role, he shared, “Director Han Jun Hee said, ‘This character is basically just you, Jun Young,’ so I took it on. And he really is quite similar to me. There’s a romantic side to the real Lee Jun Young that I think shows in Geum Sung Je as well,” heightening anticipation.

Meanwhile, Lee Jun Young will greet viewers again as the lead Do Hyun Joong in the new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama '24-Hour Health Club,' which premieres on April 30.
