Actress Go Yoon Jung is set to appear on her first-ever variety show since debut, raising anticipation among fans.

Recently, the official account of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ released a teaser clip titled: “Go Yoon Jung blossoms into a brilliant actress, rising star Moon Woo Jin, and sinkhole expert Professor Jung Choong Ki!”

In the video, Go Yoon Jung appears to discuss various topics. She is currently gaining attention for her role as first-year resident Oh Yi Young in the medical drama ‘Resident Playbook’.

Director Shin Won Ho, the creator of both ‘Resident Playbook’ and ‘Hospital Playlist’, visited the filming set to show his support. He jokingly commented, “She’s a great actress but not quite a celebrity yet,” drawing laughter.

Previously, Director Shin had mentioned on YouTube that Go Yoon Jung, despite having the longest career among the drama’s main cast, still gets nervous often—saying that “she hasn’t quite turned into a full-fledged celebrity.” He also commented on her audition, saying, “She had the tone of a fifth-grade boy, and her grounded energy made her seem steady and unshakable.”

Host Yoo Jae Suk remarked, “Many people say that ‘Resident Playbook’ reminds them of their early days at work.” Go Yoon Jung responded, “I felt the same way,” and humorously mimicked phrases often used by junior employees: “I’m sorry. Can I try that again? Thank you. Great work today.”

A graduate of Seoul Women’s University’s Department of Contemporary Art, Go Yoon Jung also showed her artistic side by sketching co-host Jo Se Ho during the show.

Now in her sixth year since debut, Go Yoon Jung continues her rise with ‘Resident Playbook’, and her variety show debut is drawing even more attention.

Her episode of ‘You Quiz on the Block’ will air on April 30th at 8:45 PM on tvN.
