Actress Ji Ye Eun has clarified her previous comments about experiencing burnout.
On April 29th KST, a new episode of the YouTube series ‘VIVO TV’ titled “Ji Ye Eun, who actually doesn’t know how to curse, rides in one car |EP.48” was released.
In the video, Ji Ye Eun was seen riding in the car with host Song Eun I on the way to her next schedule.
Addressing the backlash she received for previously mentioning burnout, Ji Ye Eun explained, “I got a lot of criticism. But that’s not what I meant, and I really want to explain.” She continued, “I was working every single day without weekends, and at some point, my body just couldn’t keep up. Variety shows require a lot of energy, and when I got home, I would just collapse like a corpse.”
She added, “People might not expect it, but I tend to overthink and pay a lot of attention to the content I appear in. I read every comment, check every view count. So even when I finished work, I wasn’t resting—I was constantly reviewing and thinking. It made me wonder if I was really living life the right way.”
Song Eun I responded with empathy, saying, “Some people might say you sound ungrateful. But for people who aren’t naturally energized by meeting others, taking time to recharge is essential.”
