On April 30, actor Kim Jung Hyun officially signed an exclusive contract with Management Siseon, marking a new chapter in his career.
Management Siseon, a newly established agency, is rapidly building its lineup of talent. The company recently signed actresses Shin Hye Sun and Cha Chung Hwa, signaling its intent to become a major player in the entertainment industry. Notably, Kim previously worked with both Shin and Cha in the hit tvN drama 'Mr. Queen' (2020–2021), where he shared a romantic storyline with Shin Hye Sun. Their reunion under the same agency after four years has drawn attention from fans and the industry alike.
This move comes after Kim parted ways with StoryJCompany earlier this January, ending their four-year partnership. He had joined StoryJCompany in September 2021 following a legal dispute with his former agency, O& Entertainment.
Kim Jung Hyun made his acting debut in the 2015 film 'Overman' and has since taken on a variety of lead roles, expanding his acting range through popular dramas such as 'Iron Family' (2024–2025), 'Kokdu: Season of Deity' (2023), 'Mr. Queen,' 'Crash Landing on You' (2019–2020), 'Time' (2018), 'Welcome to Waikiki' (2018), and 'School 2017' (2017). Most recently, he won the Top Excellence Award for Actor at the' 2024 KBS Drama Awards' for his performance in Iron Family.
In addition to his acting work, Kim is preparing to make his debut as a fixed cast member on a variety show for the first time since his debut. He will appear in KBS2’s upcoming program 'Farewell and Hello,' Lee Min Jung, which premieres on May 16. The show features Kim and actress Lee Min Jung as they visit rural villages with a mobile convenience store, spending the day with locals and sharing heartwarming, humorous stories.
