Park Gun Wook of ZEROBASEONE showcased his sharp intellect and leadership charm—once again proving his reputation as a former student body president—during his appearance on tvN’s ‘Naked History’ aired on April 29th KST.
Appearing as a travel mate for the episode, Park explored the story of Guan Yu, one of the legendary heroes of the 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms', and how he came to be revered as a deity.
Park, who described himself as a longtime fan of ‘Naked History’, shared, “I’ve read Romance of the Three Kingdoms three times. My father is also a big fan of it,” explaining his reason for joining the show. Fittingly, he made a striking entrance holding a replica of Guan Yu’s Green Dragon Crescent Blade, a symbol strongly associated with the historical figure.
Throughout the episode, Park remained fully engaged, demonstrating a student-like curiosity and respectfully asking thoughtful questions that enriched the lecture. Having served multiple terms as student council president during his school years, he actively participated in pop quizzes, impressing with his intelligence and quick thinking.
At one point, he even recited one of Guan Yu’s most famous quotes—“Before this wine cools, I will return with the enemy general’s head.”—delivering it with flair and boosting the show’s energy with his playful charisma.
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE is set to perform at 'KCON JAPAN 2025', taking place from May 9th to 11th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. While fellow member Sung Han Bin will serve as MC for all three days, Park Gun Wook is also slated to take the mic as co-host on the first day.
