BLACKPINK’s Lisa recently released her first full-length studio album, 'ALTEREGO,' on February 28, but the reported sales numbers have left fans puzzled.
According to the Hanteo Chart data, 'ALTEREGO' sold approximately 30,400 copies on its first day. However, on the second day, the album’s recorded sales dropped dramatically to just one copy, prompting confusion among fans and online users.
Many fans suspect that the data has not been properly updated or that a miscalculation has occurred. Some have raised concerns over whether all sales are being accurately reflected in the charting system.
"Wasn't her previous album first-week sales around 700,000 copies? How does this even make sense...?"
"What…?"
"The agency either doesn’t understand charts or handled this poorly. They should have managed the sales distribution better to avoid making it obvious they were frontloading. Expect sales to explode by hundreds of thousands soon."
"Even if bulk orders haven’t been processed yet, how does selling only one copy on the second day make any sense?"
"Usually, the second day is when offline stock arrives, so selling just one copy is really strange. Is Lisa’s case different?"
"Maybe because it was the weekend?"
"Could it be that she's not promoting in Korea? I only just found out about her comeback from this post."
"Might be because of a public holiday? Sales will probably surge today."
"Is it even possible to sell just one album on the second day?"
"It seems like sales didn’t get counted. Maybe it’s because of the public holiday?"
"Lisa’s sales are mostly from international distribution, so that could explain it. This data is based on Hanteo Chart."
"Yeah, I think the distribution is mostly overseas."
