Dawn has removed all photos and mentions of his ex-girlfriend, singer HyunA, from his social media accounts.
On July 14th, Dawn posted a new photo on his Instagram Story, showing himself sitting on a sofa in casual attire, captured through a full-length mirror.
This move has drawn attention as Dawn significantly cleaned up his Instagram feed, posting only 15 new photos of his activities. Previously, even after HyunA announced her engagement to singer Yong Jun-hyung on July 8th, Dawn had left photos of himself with HyunA, including some intimate moments, on his feed. This sparked debates among fans and observers about whether such images might discomfort HyunA’s fiancé, Yong Jun-hyung.
HyunA, on her part, had also kept couple photos with Dawn on her social media, upholding a past promise made during their relationship. Dawn had shared in a 2019 appearance on MBC’s "Radio Star" that they had agreed not to delete photos from their social media even if they broke up, viewing their relationship and its end as natural and memorable.
However, it seems that recent public sentiment has influenced Dawn's decision to erase these memories. Contrarily, HyunA's social media still retains photos with Dawn.
Dawn and HyunA began dating publicly in 2016 and announced their breakup in 2022 after six years together.
On July 8th, Yong Jun-hyung's agency, Black Made, confirmed to Star News that he and HyunA would be getting married in October, holding a private ceremony with close friends and family. HyunA's agency, At Area, also released a statement saying that the couple, having supported each other through tough times, decided to formalize their relationship and start a new chapter in life together.
