It was previously reported that actor Lee Sun Gyun is being investigated on charges of drug use as well as other related charges. It has now been revealed that there is also a former broadcaster turned composer, known as Ms. A, has been found to be involved in Lee Sun Gyun's drug scandal. Legal authorities and Incheon Police Agency's drug crime investigation unit are investigating Mr. A, a woman in his thirties, under suspicion of drug usage, according to insiders from the legal fraternity and police on October 24 KST.

The investigation comes after the police received a tip-off last month that drugs were being distributed in entertainment bars in Gangnam, Seoul. The informant's information led the police to secure tangible leads related to Ms. A. However, the intelligence report only mentions Mr. A's name and does not reveal any specific charges related to his alleged drug usage.

Ms. A initially came into public limelight after appearing on an entertainment program in 2009. At that time, he was known to be close to Mr. B, an up-and-coming singer who also found himself under internal investigation on similar suspicions of drug usage.

Ms. A's previous record includes convictions for drug use in 2016 and 2021, for which he served prison sentences. Currently, he faces investigation for using methamphetamine whilst under police custody.

In related news, on October 23 KST, the police took legal action against Lee Sun Gyun on charges of marijuana and other charges under the Narcotics Control Act. It is expected the police will soon summon him for questioning in the narcotics case.
