With the recent news that ONF's MK has completed his mandatory service and that the rest of the members will be following suit by the end of the month, a netizen made a post on a Korean online community sharing some tweets talking about how wise it was for the group to have all enlisted together.
Along with this, they also shared a tweet counting down how many days each of the members had left until they each completed their mandatory service. It was notable that all the members (MK, Hyojin, E-Tion, J-Us, and Wyatt) would be discharged within a week of each other.
The only member of the group who did not enlist with the rest is U, who was born in Japan.
Netizens shared their thoughts on the subject.
"Does it depend on the team conditions? If they're close in age, it would be better to go all at once..."
"I think it's really great... That's something that shows that the members are all working towards the same goals.
It seems like they are gathering their hearts in the direction of maintaining the team, so it's a benefit."
"It depends on the group situation, but I think it's good to enlist together if you can. The gap [of time] between the group as a whole has decreased..."
"I think they did a good job here haha. Personally, it's a group that I didn't know much about, but it became an issue for enlisting together and performing on stage in military uniforms, so the group's name was imprinted on it."
"The company probably doesn't like members enlisting together because sales are completely zero during that time."
"It was wise. Now is the time when solo performances are about to break out."
"Wow, you really did a great job enlisting together. It's coming at the right time."
"Enlisting together seems really better than going back and forth with relays. It will become a narrative for the group in itself, the members will feel comfortable, and most fans will like it more. There is no way they will hate it."
It tells me the bond on this group is strong on this one.
