Disney+ has released a gripping teaser for its upcoming original series 'Nine Puzzles,' set to premiere on May 21. Starring Kim Da Mi and Son Suk Ku, the show is a psychological thriller that explores the thin line between truth and suspicion, all set against the backdrop of a chilling murder mystery.
The story follows Yoon I Na, played by Kim Da Mi, who was the sole witness in an unsolved murder case ten years ago. Now working as a criminal profiler, she finds herself drawn back into a new series of murders that eerily resemble the past. Detective Han Saem, played by Son Suk Ku, still suspects I Na of being involved in the original case and begins investigating the new crimes with that same doubt in mind. As the two characters confront each other, their psychological battle becomes the emotional core of the series.
The teaser opens with a young I Na discovering a single puzzle piece at her uncle’s murder scene—the only clue left behind. Years later, as a profiler, she begins tracking down a new killer, and her involvement in the case raises even more questions. When Han Saem states, “I still think Yoon I Na is the prime suspect,” the tension between them becomes palpable. I Na’s calm but pointed response, “Are you saying I’m the killer?” blurs the boundary between innocence and guilt, setting the stage for a gripping mystery.
The tagline, “Vanished memories, a mysterious puzzle, a new wave of murders,” hints that 'Nine Puzzles' is more than just a crime drama. It promises a layered and thought-provoking story that slowly reveals the truth, piece by piece.
'Nine Puzzles' will be released in three parts, with six episodes premiering on May 21, followed by three more on May 28, and the final two on June 4, making a total of eleven episodes.
