According to media outlet reports on May 25 KST, the fashion brand 'Blanc & Eclare', founded by singer Jessica Jung, is facing eviction for its failure to pay the building rent for its flagship store in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam. 

'Blanc & Eclare' originally leased the Cheongdam building in September of 2020, opening up its flagship store. However, according to the building's owner, the brand has failed to pay its rent numerous times since August of 2021. As a result, the building owner filed a lawsuit against 'Blanc & Eclare' for overdue property rent in December of 2021. 

In June of 2022, the lawsuit concluded with a settlement between the building owner and 'Blanc & Eclare', on the basis that if the brand failed to pay rent again, it would face immediate eviction. 

However, it was soon found that 'Blanc & Eclare' failed to pay the property rent again by the end of 2022. Ultimately, a court-martial ordered the eviction of the fashion brand from the Cheongdam building on May 24, 2023. 

Meanwhile, Jessica founded 'Blanc & Eclare' with businessman Tyler Kwon in 2014.
