The tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Divorce Insurance,' which premiered with a 3.2% viewership rating, continues to decline, staying in the 1% range for two consecutive episodes.

According to ratings agency Nielsen Korea, on April 15, episode 5 of 'The Divorce Insurance,' which aired the previous day, recorded a nationwide household rating of 1.6%. While this marks a slight increase of 0.2 percentage points from episode 4, it is still a low rating for an episode. Since its premiere on March 31 with a 3.2% rating, the show has seen a steady downward trend.

'The Divorce Insurance' is an office romantic comedy centered around an innovative product development team at an insurance company as they plan a policy designed to prepare for divorce.

In the latest episode, Noh Gi Jun (played by Lee Dong Wook) and Kang Han Deul (played by Lee Joo Bin) travel to a remote countryside village in search of Goo Mi Rae’s (Han Sun Hwa) husband, Shin Hyun Jae (Kwak Si Yang).

The episode begins with Noh Gi Jun and Kang Han Deul being summoned to the Financial Supervisory Service and undergoing questioning. A flyer stating, “We’ll throw divorce ceremonies for 10 couples,” violated promotional regulations, putting the insurance product’s approval at risk. Noh Gi Jun responded, “We haven’t actually offered any divorce ceremonies yet, and if we don’t in the future, it shouldn’t be a problem.”

Though they narrowly overcome the first crisis, bigger trouble soon followed. A couple with the highest predicted divorce rate (as chosen by experts) ended up in the top 10 applicants. This jeopardized two conditions: maintaining a 0% divorce rate for six months and not offering any divorce ceremonies. As a result, Na Dae Bok (Kim Won Hae) pressured Noh Gi Jun and Kang Han Deul, prompting the two to head to Goo Mi Rae’s home.

Goo Mi Rae recalled her first meeting with Shin Hyun Jae, their pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, and their wedding. The task force (TF) team learned that Shin Hyun Jae was traveling the country in search of a tiger and followed a clue to "Goranggae Village," where Park Woong Shik (Yoo Hyun Soo), who was once a blind date for Jo Ah Young (Choo So Jung), serves as village chief.

With Park Woong Shik's help, the TF team narrowed down Shin Hyun Jae’s whereabouts and split into two groups to search for him. During the search, Noh Gi Jun and Kang Han Deul got lost in the mountains and lost phone signal, creating a tense moment, especially with the sudden appearance of a tiger.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung Shin (Shin Eun Jung), CEO of Best Fire and a former senior to Kang Han Deul, not only reported the insurance product to the Financial Supervisory Service but also planned to launch a similar product for her own company, copying Divorce Insurance's policy. A suspicious vice president, who is working with Jeon Na Rae (Lee Da Hee), is also threatening the official launch of the TF team’s product.

On April 15, 'The Divorce Insurance' released a preview still of Noh Gi Jun, Kang Han Deul, Ahn Jun Man (Lee Kwang Soo), and Jeon Na Rae confronting each other late at night at the edge of the village. Though they've been working together on product development, emotional tensions between them are starting to emerge.

In a previously released teaser, Jeon Na Rae provocatively asks, “I’m asking as your ex-ex-ex-wife—what’s going on between you two?” This sharp remark piqued viewers’ curiosity, and attention is focused on the conversation that will unfold between the four.

The TF team is also shown in a flurry of activity. With the fate of the insurance product hanging on whether Goo Mi Rae and Shin Hyun Jae get divorced, viewers are keenly watching how the TF team handles the situation. Many are curious to see if the team can prevent the divorce and save their product.

The production team commented, “Noh Gi Jun, Kang Han Deul, Ahn Jun Man, and Jeon Na Rae will finally confront their long-suppressed feelings and engage in a complex psychological battle.
