One of the most beloved K-Pop concepts among fans is one that exudes regal energy, whether it be through the outfit, the story, or the overall vibe. These royal concepts are truly captivating and mesmerizing, and fans can enjoy them through music videos and performances.
The Boyz – Checkmate
Aiming for the crown in both Road To Kingdom and Kingdom, The Boyz always showed exceptional performances and perfectly executed the royal theme more than once during their time on the show. Over again, they kept showing the world that they are the kings of the 4th generation K-Pop.
LOONA – Butterfly
These 12 butterflies may not explicitly show any form of royal concept, but something about this song is just magnificent and sounds like a song a Disney Princess would sing while showing the world who's boss. It's such a unique song that fans truly appreciate.
ONEUS – To Be Or Not To Be
A story of how six princes turned to the dark side after a heartbreaking breakup. Love can really consume you. But as impressive as the song is, the music video is just as great.
AB6IX – Salute
AB6IX never disappoints, and this one is no exception. Not only is the song absolutely powerful, with outstanding choreography and music video, but all four of them were also literal prince charming in those outfits. Oh, and their hair, too, Salute to their stylists for this masterpiece.
KINGDOM – Black Crown
If you haven't noticed, this group's entire concept is of royals, kings, and those sorts. It was hard to pick which of theirs to have on here because they're all literally so good and they are carrying the concept so well. Fans aren't stanning 7 idols; they're actually stanning 7 kings.
Wanna One – Beautiful Pt. 3
One of K-Pop's most beloved monster groups, Wanna One, who disbanded in 2019, reunited at the 2021 MAMA for a performance. They looked like absolute princes with their white and gold prince-like outfits. Just... Beautiful.
NU’EST – Bet Bet
From their album Happily Ever After, NU'EST became knights in shining armor for this music video. One of the fantastic royal concepts.
Dream Catcher – DejaVu
These girls don't only make spooky music videos. They can also play the part of princesses fighting for the throne in this stunning video and song. It could be an excellent royal theme song. While going for a slower and dreamy sound, they made sure to still include their signature rock-sounding, and it works so well.
E’LAST - Swear
I Swear this is one of 2020's best debut songs yet. They kicked off their career by showing the world that they are princes ready to take the throne. It's such a good song; it honestly could have been an OST for a period K-Drama.
(G)I-DLE – Lion
Before they gave us Tomboy and Nxde, this sextet claims the crown and told the world that they are the queen. But not just any queen; they're the lion-like queen, which is even more fierce, as no one can tame them.
GOT7 – Not By The Moon
Seven princes swore not by the one moon; how majestic is that? Oh, and our king Jackson taking the throne with his tilted crown, like the badass he is. One of K-Pop's best royal concepts yet.
BTS – Blood Sweat & Tears
Not just any typical royal concept, this music video has an almost sinister or dark feeling to it. As if the 7 princes were imprisoned inside their castle without realizing that they are. Their bewitching choreography added to the etherealness of this absolute masterpiece.
VIXX – Shangri-La
VIXX is known for having fantasy concepts and personas of dark princes. These Korean princes yet again showed another irresistible and super aesthetic music video.
Literally KINGDOM‘s entire concept 😂
