Late actor Lee Ji Han's role in the drama 'Kkokdu's Gye-jeol' has been recast.
On November 7 KST, a representative for the upcoming MBC drama announced that actor Lee Jung Joon has now joined the cast. Lee Jung Joon first debuted in the 2017 KBS drama 'Queen for Seven Days,' appeared in 'Best Mistake 2,' 'Two Cops,' 'Class of Lies,' 'Kairos,' 'Squid Game,' and 'It's Beautiful Now,' and currently appears in the SBS drama 'Cheer Up.'
The drama is a fantasy romance in which Kkokdu, a god of death who comes down to this world to punish humans every 99 years, meets a doctor with mysterious abilities and works as a visiting doctor. Kim Jung Hyun, Lim Soo Hyang, Kim Da Som, and Cha Cheong Hwa will also appear in the drama, which is scheduled to begin airing next year.
Meanwhile, as previously reported, Lee Jihan, who is also known for his former participation in Mnet's idol survival program "Produce 101 Season 2" died in the recent Itaewon tragedy. He was 25 years old when he passed and was filming 'Kkokdu's Gye-jeol' since last month.
Please keep Jihan's remaining work. Can the drama be revised? Not in the same context, but something similar to Charlie Sheen in "Two and a Half Men"? It would be thoughtful to keep Jihan's presence in the drama...
