Red Velvet's Joy and Choo Young Woo will be testing their chemistry in a brand new Kakao TV-original drama series, 'My Accidental Country Diaries' (working title).
On May 26, Kakao TV confirmed that Joy and Choo Young Woo have been cast as the leads of 'My Accidental Country Diaries', coming to the streaming platform some time in the latter half of 2022. A heartwarming youth romance, 'My Accidental Country Diaries' tells the story of a veterinarian named Han Ji Yool (Choo Young Woo), born and raised in the city of Seoul. One day, Ji Yool is sent to work at a rural village in the middle of nowhere, Heedong-ri, where he meets an outgoing local precinct officer named Ahn Ja Young (Joy), the village peacekeeper.
A 12-part series consisting of 30-minute episodes, 'My Accidental Country Diaries' will be bringing viewers a healing romance some time later this year!
I always like to see actress Joy appear. Not feeling a visual chemistry as the knetz would say but we'll have to see if they can express it on screen. I saw School2021, and I could tell he was a rookie actor so hopefully he'll do better this time around. I think Joy has improved and this happy role might really bring out her strong points acting. Build that repertoire!
