JJ Holic Media released an official statement about the controversy involving MASC members Chibin and ACE.
On July 30, JJ Holic Media posted the announcement on MASC's official fan cafe. The post contained an apology and the news on Chibin and ACE's departure from the group. The announcement reads as follows:
"Hello, this is JJ Holic Media.
First, we apologize for causing concerns to the fans who gave support and love to MASC. We are apologetic and feel responsible for failing to prevent such an incident and displeasing the fans.
It's very unfortunate how the situation came this way while we were in an in-depth discussion since the incident in March about the ways to not cause harm to the remaining MASC members and their future promotions.
The agency could not notify about the issue earlier as we were worried the displeasing incident might cause harm to the other members and the name MASC. We are apologetic for the late official statement.
We believe nothing can be an excuse for the use of violence and he can no longer promote with the group. Therefore, ACE has been removed as a member of MASC.
Chibin, who has been taking a break and receiving treatment for the mental shock, has told the agency last month that it would be difficult for him to continue promoting in MASC. Currently, he's looking into enrolling in college and changing his career path to acting.
Once again, we deeply apologize for causing concerns and we ask that you give encouragement to the remaining members so they will not get hurt by the incident.
We will take this incident as a lesson and become an agency that gives more thorough care and consideration. We will also work hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Thank you."
