Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was involved in a 3-car crash in Gangnam back on November 27. After a lot of chatter from victims, a tow truck driver, and others, the police have now released the findings from their investigation.
The Gangnam Police Station revealed that they summoned Taeyeon and questioned her for 20 minutes on December 2. During the questioning, Taeyeon acknowledged that she was at fault for causing the accident. She stated, "While I was driving, I couldn't see the front of my car clearly and got into an accident."
Taeyeon is doing her best to work with the insurance companies to compensate the victims of the accident and the damages. She stated, "I will do my best so the victims can recover as soon as possible and are also compensated."
There were also some rumors popping up that Taeyeon's dog was the possible cause of the accident and she was questioned about this. Taeyeon stated, "My 3-month-old dog was in the car but it was sleeping inside a pet carrier. The dog had nothing to do with the accident."
The police have only spoken with the Taxi driver so far and not with the other victims. The other victims have not been summoned for questioning as they are still under treatment.
The Gangnam Police also stated that this accident doesn't fall under the Traffic Accident Acts of '11 Gross Negligence'. Meaning there is no need for criminal charges and she didn't do anything considered negligent. The case will most likely close with no charges after the insurance compensation procedures and interviews with the victims.
