A month later, photos of the men in training were uploaded on the official website of Korea Army Training Center. Among the crew in training was Lee Soo Hyuk.
YG Entertainment finally spoke up about Lee Soo Hyuk's enlistment. The label explained, "Please give understanding on the fact that we didn't inform earlier. We wanted to respect Lee Soo Hyuk's opinion to enlist quietly as it is not something to brag about. He's just grateful he could be completing the duty of national defense."
Through YG Entertainment, Lee Soo Hyuk also shared a comment, stating, "I wanted to spend time with the fans and share the news myself but I'm sorry that I didn't have the opportunity to do so. I will sincerely engage in my duties and come back healthily. I appreciate and love everyone who is giving me encouragement."
After completing 4-weeks of training, Lee Soo Hyuk will be fulfilling his duty as a social service worker. He'll be discharged on August 9, 2019.
