On December 3, she took to her Instagram Story and wrote:
"A lot of people have been wondering about the stage from yesterday so I'd like to explain (If it were me I'd be curious too). Yesterday, I was rather anticipating the performance myself after greeting Wiz Khalifa and rehearsing with him. But during the broadcast, I heard that the audio file we were supposed to use had a problem.
That's why we weren't able to properly do a sound check, and ultimately did not perform together. I was very disappointed.
To sing on stage live, you need a background audio track, but instead of an MR, only an AR had been prepared. As someone who had to sing live, I was a little taken back, but it was the right thing to put more meaning in the performance and the collaboration... honestly there aren't many opportunities like this.
So I thought that if I just sing louder than the AR, I could cover it up, and the staff also hoped to create a grand stage by putting in all of their effort. We had decided to go with it. But just a few hours before the performance, I came upon the unfortunate news, and in a lot of ways, because it's performing overseas, there must be unexpected occurrences.
The day before the show, I had been waiting for the rehearsal with Wiz Khalifa but they said that there was a problem with the stage equipment so I had to return to the hotel. Several problems probably occurred all at once. I myself am very disappointed and saddened that I wasn't able to perform a great stage like this.
I hope that no misunderstandings will come out of this between anyone. Also, there must have been many of you who'd heard about the stage beforehand and had anticipated it, so I'll do my best to greet you with an even better stage next time. Thank you for cheering me on and giving me energy til the end yesterday, everyone."
Does that clear up some things for you?
