Kangnam will join the list of celebrities who have transitioned into YouTubers.

Sandbox Network, Kangnam's new management network company, stated, "Kangnam will release the first content of 'Neighborhood Friend Kangnam-i on September 20, at 7PM KST." Kangnam opened a new YouTube channel with the name 'Neighborhood Friend Kangnam-i', on September 15. In his introductory video, Kangnam introduced himself to his viewers and challenged himself to a quiz. 

Regarding the name of his channel, Kangnam explained, "I wanted to actively communicate with subscribers with a friendly image of a neighborhood older brother, friend, and younger brother." He added, "Through this channel, I want to show you a sincere, manly side to me as I experience 'true Korean culture' that cannot be learned from books or exams."
