Rocket Punch has officially made their first comeback of 2021!
On May 17 KST, the Woollim Entertainment girl group unveiled their first single album ‘Ring Ring,’ featuring a single of the same name, as well as B-side tracks “I Want U Bad” and “Ride.”
Through title track “Ring Ring,” Rocket Punch try their hand at a summery ‘new-tro’ music – adding a fresh twist to a familiar 80s synthwave sound. The song’s title playfully refers to the ‘phone battle’ of the crush stage of a relationship, particularly waiting on who is going to be the one to call the other one first.
The theme is further amplified in the brightly colored music video for the song, with the members dancing under mirror balls, listening to music on clunky cassette players and boomboxes, and singing together at a gas station where a number of vintage cars are all lined up.
Meanwhile, ‘Ring Ring’ marks nine months since their previous release ‘Blue Punch,’ featuring title track “Juicy,” which was released back in August 2020.

This song is better than I expected. Great styling in the MV and the retro vibes in the song are great. I hope they can do well in this comeback. I liked Juicy and I think this song is good too. Good luck RCPC!
