On March 19, Minji, a member of the girl group Busters, announced through her personal social media account that she had left the group about a month ago.
"I left Busters, under the agency Marbling, about a month ago," Minji wrote.
Reflecting on her time with the group, Minji shared, "I’ve had so many experiences and made countless memories during my five years with Busters. I met the fans when I was just 15, and thanks to you all, I’ve learned and grown so much. Every day until now has been truly happy for me, and I want to tell you that my feelings toward you have always been sincere. Thank you for giving me such happy and precious memories."
She continued, "I will return as a better artist in the future, so please don’t forget about me. I hope you will continue to support me with lots of love and encouragement."
Minji, born in 2006, made her debut in the K-pop industry in 2020 with Busters' third single album 'Paeonia.' Below is the full statement from Minji:
"Hello, dear fans, this is Minji!
Spring is finally starting to arrive — is everyone doing well?! Even though spring is coming, the mornings and nights are still pretty chilly, so make sure to dress warmly! I’m sure you were all surprised and confused by the sudden news.
I wanted to share my news with you as soon as possible, but I’m so sorry for letting you know this late. About a month ago, I left the group Busters under Marbling Entertainment. Over the past five years, I’ve had so many experiences and made countless memories as a member of Busters! I first met all of you when I was just 15 years old, and I think I’ve grown and learned so much thanks to you! The times we spent together — laughing and crying — are so precious to me, and I know I’ll always remember them!
Every single day until now has truly been so happy for me, and I want to tell you that my feelings for all of you were always sincere! Thank you so much for giving me such happy and beautiful memories, and above all, thank you for cheering me on so strongly from right by my side! You are always in my heart!
And… I really, really miss you all so much…!! I thought a lot about what I should say first, and after much consideration, I’ve finally managed to organize my thoughts like this.
From now on, I’m going to work hard and grow into an even better artist, so please don’t forget about me. Please continue to give me lots of love, support, and encouragement moving forward! Thank you so much for reading this long message — and please stay healthy! I’m truly grateful for everything until now!"
Minji’s heartfelt message has touched fans, who have expressed their continued support and love for her future endeavors.
