
Rain honored the late Barbie Hsu during his Still Raining Asia Tour Concert in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on February 15.
During the performance, Rain addressed the audience, saying, "We are all saddened by the pain of my beloved senior, Koo Jun Yup. He is a respected figure in the K-pop industry." He continued, "Let us all pay tribute to Barbie Hsu together. She is my sister-in-law. As Koo Jun Yup’s junior, I want to express my condolences. Please join me in a 10-second moment of silence."
He further added, "I want to pray for him from afar. Please support and stand by Koo Jun Yup. He is the best senior, a sincere and kind person." He then expressed his gratitude to the audience, saying, "Thank you all so much."

Barbie Hsu passed away on February 2 at the age of 48 due to influenza and acute pneumonia while on a family trip to Japan. Her funeral was held in Japan, and her remains were transported back to Taiwan on February 6.
Koo Jun Yup and Barbie Hsu briefly dated in the early 2000s before parting ways. She later married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, with whom she had two children before their divorce in 2021. After reconnecting more than 20 years later, Koo Jun Yup and Barbie Hsu married in 2022.
Following her passing, Koo Jun Yup expressed his grief, saying, "I am experiencing an indescribable sorrow and pain that feels like my heart is being torn apart." He also stated that he would transfer his legal rights over her inheritance to her mother while ensuring her children’s financial security through legal protections.
