Actor Byeon Woo Seok shared a memorable story about his relationship with senior Kim Soo Hyun through the 'Asia Artist Awards 2024.'

Undoubtedly, last year was "Byeon Woo Seok's year." With the tvN drama 'Lovely Runner,' he truly soared, leading to a massive syndromic impact on the small screen.

Byeon Woo Seok went on to achieve an impressive 6 awards at the '9th Asia Artist Awards' held in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 27, including the prestigious 'Actor of the Year' award, the 'AAA Popularity Award', 'AAA Asia Celebrity Award', 'Best Artist Award', 'Best Couple Award', and 'Best OST Award', ending 2024 on a high note.

After sweeping the 'AAA 2024' and starting the new year on a positive note, Byeon Woo Seok is set to dominate 2025 as well. On January 22, he was interviewed at the StarNews office in Jongno, Seoul.

During the interview, Byeon Woo Seok spoke about the special connection he developed with senior Kim Soo Hyun through the 'AAA 2024.' The two drew attention during the ceremony when they shared whispers and had an unexpected sweet moment together. Byeon Woo Seok expressed, "Kim Soo Hyun has been a senior I’ve admired for a long time. I always thought, 'I want to be like him.' I was really happy to meet him at the AAA 2024. Even though we only spoke briefly, I realized he’s an even more amazing person in real life. I’ve always liked him, but I like him even more now." 

When asked about Kim Soo Hyun’s charm, Byeon Woo Seok responded, "He’s someone who expresses deep emotions with his eyes. He’s excellent in acting, and of course, he’s incredibly handsome. I really liked his appearance. I’m someone who loves beautiful things," which made everyone laugh.

Byeon Woo Seok also shared an anecdote from the day of AAA 2024, where he worked out with Kim Soo Hyun and Ahn Bo Hyun. He explained, "I didn’t make any plans with Kim Soo Hyun, but when I went to work out in the morning, he was already there." 

Additionally, Byeon Woo Seok responded to Kim Soo Hyun’s public confession of affection. After the 'AAA 2024,' Kim Soo Hyun expressed to fans that he and Byeon Woo Seok had become fond of each other, saying, "We’ve grown to like each other."

Byeon Woo Seok replied, "When I talked to him, I felt like we were in sync. In the future, I’ll get closer to him," expressing his determination to get closer to Kim Soo Hyun.

Meanwhile, the AAA (Asia Artist Awards), organized by StarNews, was first held in 2016. It is the first award ceremony in Korea that integrates awards for both actors and singers. Each year, it captivates global fans with its spectacular line-up and new performances.
