Actor Jung Woo Sung has been confirmed as the biological father of model Moon Ga Bi’s son, sparking widespread interest in whether he will address the matter at an upcoming public event.

Jung Woo Sung’s agency, Artist Company, stated on November 25th to Maeil Business Star Today, “Jung Woo Sung will attend the Blue Dragon Film Awards as scheduled on the 29th.” This marks his first public appearance since the news of his fatherhood broke.

Jung Woo Sung is set to attend the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on November 29th, where he is nominated for Best Actor for his performance in ‘12.12: The Day.’ He will compete for the award alongside Hwang Jung Min from the same film, Lee Sung Min from ‘Handsome Guys,’ Lee Je Hoon from ‘Escape,’ and Choi Min Sik from ‘Exhuma.’

On November 24th, it was revealed that Jung Woo Sung is the father of the son Moon Ga Bi gave birth to in March, shocking the public.

His agency confirmed, “The child shared by Moon Ga Bi on social media is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological son. Discussions are ongoing regarding the best way to handle the child’s upbringing. Jung Woo Sung is committed to taking full responsibility for his child.”

The two reportedly met for the first time in 2022 and became romantically involved. When Moon Ga Bi informed Jung Woo Sung of her pregnancy in June 2022, he is said to have promised to take responsibility for raising the child. Jung Woo Sung was involved in naming the unborn child and made plans with Moon Ga Bi regarding postnatal care. Moon Ga Bi gave birth to a son in March and is now fully devoted to parenting. However, Jung Woo Sung has maintained his stance against marriage, which reportedly led to some conflict between the two.

Moon Ga Bi recently shared her perspective on social media on November 22nd, writing, “When I received this unexpected news, I was unprepared. Instead of fully celebrating the joy of pregnancy, I chose to spend most of my pregnancy quietly with my family’s blessings. That decision was made solely for the sake of the child I was carrying.”
