Min Hee Jin has been reappointed as an insider director at ADOR.
On October 17, ADOR announced to media, "Today, ADOR held a general meeting of shareholders and reappointed former CEO Min Hee Jin as an internal director." Min Hee Jin's previous term as an internal director was set to end on November 1 KST, and with this reappointment, she will maintain her position as internal director of ADOR for 3 years starting from November 2. The decision comes following Min Hee Jin's interview reaffirming her determination to continue pursuing her plans with ADOR labelmates NewJeans.
As previously reported, ADOR's parent company HYBE reported Min Hee Jin for alleged business embezzlement on April 25 KST and appointed Kim Joo Young, former chief human resources officer at HYBE, as the new CEO of ADOR on August 27. Min Hee Jin lost her managerial rights nearly 2 years and 9 months after being appointed CEO of ADOR in November of 2021. She claimed the dismissal was unilateral, while HYBE countered it was a lawful procedure.
Following the conflict, all 5 members of NewJeans held a live stream on YouTube on September 11 to issue an ultimatum to HYBE to reinstate MIn Hee Jin as CEO by September 25 KST. On September 13, Min Hee Jin filed an injunction seeking reappointment as both inside director and CEO of ADOR.
