SHINee's Key has spoken up and publicly warned his juniors for their passive attitude controversy during a radio show appearance.
On the April 22 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s 'Cultwo Show,' recently returned solo artist Chuu and the members of NCT WISH appeared as guests. Chuu led the show with her signature bright and energetic reactions, making the broadcast enjoyable.
However, the members of NCT WISH showed a stark contrast in behavior, becoming the center of controversy. Throughout the visual radio broadcast, the members kept their eyes down, gave short answers, and spoke with unclear speech, displaying a very passive demeanor. Even during a live challenge segment, only a few members gave minimal responses, while the others remained largely unresponsive.
Many viewers responded negatively to the members, criticizing that the group was not putting in much effort. Among the viewers, their SM Entertainment senior Key left a message during the live broadcast saying, "I'm watching. So, do better."
While the rookie boy group faced much backlash, some have offered a more understanding view, pointing out that NCT WISH is a second-year rookie group that includes foreign members, suggesting that their lack of broadcasting experience may explain their awkwardness.
