Actress Kim So Eun has denied rumors that she is dating K League football player Jung Dong Ho. On April 23rd, a source close to Kim So Eun spoke to OSEN and clarified, “Kim So Eun and Jung Dong Ho are acquaintances who have met in group settings. While they are close and well-acquainted, they are not in a romantic relationship. They happen to share mutual friends and golf club gatherings, which may have led to misunderstandings.”

Rumors of the pair dating began about a year ago, sparked by social media speculation over so-called “lovestagram” posts. According to reports, the two were seen enjoying a round of golf together and even spotted holding hands during a birthday party, further fueling the speculation. However, even at the time, Kim So Eun’s circle firmly denied the possibility of a romantic relationship.

Addressing the birthday party incident, the source confirmed that Jung Dong Ho was among the guests invited by Kim So Eun but emphasized, “They are not dating. It was a friendly gathering with mutual acquaintances.”

Regarding the hand-holding and perceived physical closeness, the source added, “Kim So Eun was enjoying the party in a friendly and open atmosphere. Any physical contact was casual and part of the group’s dynamic—it wasn’t limited to Jung Dong Ho.”

Born in 1989, Kim So Eun made her debut in the 2005 MBC drama Sisters of the Sea. Following the expiration of her contract with agency Ascendio last year, she has been pursuing her career independently.

Jung Dong Ho, born in 1990, is one year younger than Kim. He most recently played for K League team Suwon FC and is currently a free agent.
