On the April 23 episode of MBC's 'Radio Star,' singer K.Will appeared as a guest, sharing his experience of being a director.
During the episode, K.Will surprised everyone by revealing that he has become a director at Starship Entertainment, the agency home to IVE, MONSTA X, Lee Dong Wook, and others, after originally debuting as the company's very first artist. "Including my time before the company became Starship, I've been there for almost 20 years." Another guest, webtoon artist Kim Poong, then asked if K.Will owns any shares in Starship. To which K.Will replied, "I do own shares, but I bought them with the money I earned. It's not something I received because I'm a director."
He revealed, "As a director, I receive a salary. I also attend executive meetings. The company is planning on debuting a new male idol group, and I'm working on that with them."
K.Will added, "Since it's my first time receiving a salary, there are many interesting things. I didn't know our company's benefits were this good. Holiday bonuses are given, and I can buy electronics with bonus company awarded reward points." In response, host Kim Gu Ra quipped, "Now that you're receiving a salary, you seem more like an office worker than a celebrity," drawing laughter.
