On August 16 KST, Fantagio Music released an official statement regarding the future activities of Weki Meki. 

The agency stated on this day:

"Hello, this is Fantagio.

First and foremost, we sincerely thank the fans for loving and cheering on our artist Weki Meki.

After a serious discussion, it has been decided that Weki Meki, who has received so much love and support from fans for the last 7 years, will wrap up all official group activities as of August 8, 2024. 

Currently, the agency is discussing the futures of artists Ji Su Yeon, Choi Yoo Jung, and Kim Do Yeon. After some discussion, it has been decided that the agency's exclusive contracts with artists Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy will conclude. 

 We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thanks Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy for shining brightly as members of Weki Meki, and although their group activities with Weki Meki have concluded, we hope to continue aiding them in their future paths. Please send them your love and support as they pursue various activities.

Once again, the agency and the members of Weki Meki would like to thank the fans for your love and support, and we also ask that you give your attention to all of the members of Weki Meki, who are about to take the first steps into the second chapters of their careers.

Weki Meki, who debuted in 2017, previously announced the group's disbandment after the release of their final single, "CoinciDestiny", in June.
