You can say what you like, but there is no denying her longevity in the industry or the respect she gets from her peers. She gets harsh criticism for things other actresses do all the time. Do people criticise those actresses who are called "the nation's mother" or the "nation's sister" or those who act as policemen or action roles all the time.. Yes,you can get typecast. I don't see anyone criticizing those people for sticking to one role. It's a job and sometimes you get what you can. After 27 years in the industry, I'm sure she knows more about it than most of us do. She just needed someone who believed in her and sees beyond her pretty face and gave a chance to try something new.
