Jimin's chart-topping success: becomes the first Korean soloist to conquer these key rankings on Billboard Japan

Jimin continues to be celebrated for dominating various major music charts worldwide following the release of his much anticipated solo debut album 'FACE.' Both the main track 'Like Crazy' and the B-side track 'Set Me Free Pt.2' have demonstrated a strong performance on numerous major music platforms and charts, and the situation has been no different for the full album itself. It is with no doubt that the entire album has been well received globally in all the different cultures, speaking to Jimin's artistry level, even though this is only his first solo album!

There have already been previous reports on the individual songs' and the album's performance in top music markets like the USA, UK, France as well as Japan, all of which rank among the top 8 music markets in the world. Maintaining the focus on Japan, new chart rankings have been released, and they have further reinforced the fact that Jimin is an absolute star in Japan, the world's second largest music market.

Billboard Japan, a major music chart system in the country which comprises of different charts in various music aspects, has unveiled its rankings for this past week's music performance in the country. Having already seen Jimin's performance on the Oricon chart, another major music chart system in the country, it was evident that his album had been warmly received by the Japanese people, and thus it was expected that he would make an appearance on many other top rankings in the country.

On March 29, Billboard Japan's Artist 100 chart was unveiled, showing Jimin at the #1 position. This made him the First and Only Korean Soloist in history to reach #1 on this chart. In fact, he was not just the first and only Korean soloist but the First and Only Foreign Soloist to accomplish this, and this major record demonstrates his unrivaled influence in the country.

In addition, Jimin ranked first on Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales chart, with more than 240k recorded sales across the week. He also emerged at the top of the Download Albums chart and the Hot Albums chart, earning him yet another new record as the First and Only Korean Soloist in history to clinch the top spot on both of these main charts simultaneously.

Looking at the Lyricist chart, 'Like Crazy' ranked 74th while 'Set Me Free Pt.2' ranked 55th. 'Like Crazy also debuted at 74th place on the HOT 100 Composers Chart, while 'Set Me Free Pt.2' debuted at 57th place.

'Like Crazy also debuted at #3 on the Download Songs chart and #91 on the HOT 100 chart, on which 'Set Me Free Pt.2' landed at #59, having climbed up 22 positions from last week's ranking.

Jimin also maintained his top spot on the Oricon Weekly Digital Albums Chart with 'FACE,' as well as on the Weekly Western Albums Chart [refer here for other major records by Jimin on the Oricon charts].

It is heartwarming to see Jimin performing so well in such a major music market with his very first solo album, and with a Korean album at that. It is a big testament to his refined artistry and potential to grow even more in his solo career, and fans gladly look forward to going on this journey with him.

Congratulations Jimin!

Jimin's songs are relatable in that they talk about growth in the context of Jimin's personal development as an individual. We all saw the other members release their "dark side" albums, and this is Jimin's! More adult thoughts and actions. Many songs have tackled excess and indulgence, but Like Crazy is NEW WAVE, unbelievable.in kpop
