Singer and actor Junho is stepping into independence by launching his own one-man entertainment agency.

After concluding his exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment, where he spent the past 17 years, Junho has established his own agency to focus on his individual activities, including acting and music. However, JYP will continue to manage his activities in Japan, maintaining a working relationship.

According to an entertainment industry insider on the 27th, Junho is currently preparing for the official launch of his agency. While the company name has yet to be finalized, he is assembling a team—including staff members he has previously worked with—to manage its operations.

Notably, an industry expert with a strong background in entertainment will be handling key responsibilities at Junho’s agency. Yang Hye young, who led marketing planning in CJ ENM’s brand strategy division, will be offering full support to Junho. She previously worked in CJ ENM’s performance division and was a key figure behind the visionary project that shifted paradigms in pop culture.

Junho plans to complete preparations by mid-May and then shift his focus fully to acting. After his 2023 drama 'King the Land', he is returning to the screen with two new projects, aiming to broaden his acting range. He is currently filming tvN’s 'Typhoon Boss' and Netflix’s 'Cashero', both set to premiere in the second half of the year. In 'Typhoon Boss', Junho plays Kang Taepung, a young CEO struggling to save his late father's small business during the 1997 IMF financial crisis—a role meant to deliver comfort and inspiration to viewers.

In 'Cashero', his other lead role, he portrays Kang Sang Woong, an ordinary civil servant with supernatural powers, venturing into comedic acting. Previously known for his versatility across genres ranging from historical dramas to romantic comedies, Junho is set to showcase sides of himself that fans have yet to see through these upcoming projects.
