Coupang Play’s comedy show 'SNL Korea' captivated viewers with the incredible performance of its fourth host, Kim Sa Rang, who showcased an unprecedented transformation.

'SNL Korea' is widely recognized as South Korea’s leading real comedy show, uniting “super hosts” who immediately become “meme stars” and a trusted cast of talented crew members known for their top-tier humor.

On April 26th, during the release of 'SNL Korea' Season 4, Episode 4, Kim Sa Rang completely shed her mysterious image and made her comedy debut, marking a successful first venture into the genre. Her radiant opening stage, where she appeared surrounded by a halo, quickly became one of SNL Korea’s most iconic moments, generating a flood of viral images.

Kim Sa Rang appeared as a dreamlike figure in Jeong I Rang’s fantasy, dazzling both men and women with her beauty and figure. She also fearlessly performed suggestive scenes with Kim Won Hoon, showing her bold approach to humor. 

Her realistic acting in the comedy sketches also drew widespread praise. Kim Sa Rang joined Lee Su Ji, Ji Ye Eun, Kim Won Hoon, Kim Kyu Won, and Lee Jin Hyuk in a comedic skit based on a group date scenario. The sketch playfully highlighted how women act differently with their friends compared to when they're around men.

Her detailed and relatable performances added an extra layer of humor that resonated strongly with viewers. Her ability to improvise naturally with the crew, especially Lee Su Ji and Kim Won Hoon, added even more charm and laughter to the episode.

Reflecting on her experience, Kim Sa Rang shared, "I expected comedy to be difficult, but I didn’t know it would be this hard. From now on, I think I’ll appreciate SNL Korea even more."

Meanwhile, 'SNL Korea' Season 7, Episode 5, hosted by actor Hyeon Bong Sik, will be released on May 3rd at 8 PM.
