The enviable performance this time is on the music charts in Japan, which happens to be the world's second-largest music market.
The Oricon chart is one of the country's major music charts, and Jimin is not sparing any major charts anywhere in the world. On March 18, a day after the release of 'Set Me Free Pt.2', Jimin had already taken the top position on the Oricon Daily Digital Singles Chart! On March 22, the Oricon Weekly Digital Singles Chart was unveiled, and despite having just 3 days of tracking, the chart showed Jimin being at the top as well!
As such, Jimin became the FIRST Korean Soloist to reach #1 on both the Oricon Daily and Weekly Digital Singles charts, ever since the inception of the charts in 1968!
Jimin has now had 2 of his songs as a soloist reach #1 on Oricon's Daily Singles Chart, which places him second among the Korean soloists with the most songs to reach #1 on this chart.
Congratulations Jimin!
