On October 30, Lee Chan Won attended the 1st Theme Park Picnic Autumn Festival held in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do. On this day, Lee Chan Won came on stage and asked for the audience's understanding as he decided not to perform on this day in mourning for all the victims of the Itaewon tragedy that occurred the day before. He explained, "Right now, it is a time of national mourning so I won't be able to sing today. I am sorry."

A day before, Lee Chan Won's agency also announced through the singer's fan club site, "Lee Chan Won will not be performing since it is the national mourning period. It is true that he will be attending the event but he will not be performing his song. Please refrain from shouting and applauding at the event."

Nevertheless, there were audience members who booed the singer. In particular, one angry man approached Lee Chan Won, who was coming down from the stage and verbally attacked the singer with abusive language. In the process, there was even a physical fight as the man grabbed Lee Chan Won's manager by the collar and continued to shove the manager to get to the singer.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the heartbreaking accident is climbing as the count reached 155 as of October 31.
