Covers are always exciting, as it is an opportunity for fandoms of both artists to appreciate and get to know more about each other. Especially when they take the cover and add their own colors and sounds onto it, showcasing what they sound like, even when doing someone else's songs.
P1Harmony - good 4 u
The entire cover isn't really too different than the original song by Olivia Rodrigo, but they did sprinkle some of their energy, and the rap part really screamed P1Harmony. They did an excellent job playing with the rhythm with this one, and the editing for the video is also really fun and fresh.
LUCY - Bad Boy
K-Band LUCY is known for their exceptional violin playing paired with their other band instruments, and they absolutely took Red Velvet's song and made it their own.
Xdinary Heroes - Tomboy
This rookie monster band is known for the punk rock-sounding genre, and that was exactly how they changed (G)I-DLE's song to become their own. Despite being rookies, they are absolute rock stars.
EVERGLOW Mia - Break My Heart Myself
She really is living up to her name of being an all-rounder. Not only is she breaking hearts with her powerful vocals, but her facial expression really pulls you into the performance.
iKON - Inception
iKON really took the stage with this performance during Mnet’s Kingdom: The Legendary War. Originally a dance anthem song by ATEEZ, iKON turned it into a hip-hop trap banger, a sound they are known for. The group received praise from both fans and fellow contestants on the show for their originality.
Stray Kids - Fancy
Fancy may be one of TWICE's most favorite songs yet, and Stray Kids really pulled off their senior's song so effortlessly. Not only were they able to retain the original charm of a girl group, but they also fit the song to their style.
ATEEZ's captain took us back on a throwback with this Linkin Park cover. He not only covered the song but also made it his own, especially with his rap and facial expressions throughout the song.
Dreamcatcher Siyeon - Overdose
We all know what the famous EXO song Overdose song sounds like, but Siyeon had something else in mind. She blew fans and judges away with her rock rendition of the song, while also showcasing her vocal talents in R&B, ballad, and rock.
Colde - Next Level
Colde, known for his R&B and hip-hop music, visited Kwangya and flipped the song, making it his own. It's impressive how he took the original song's catchy chorus and trap beats and recreated it with nu-R&B elements.
Gaho & KAVE - On The Ground
The original artist, BLACKPINK Rosé, who is a fan of alternative rock, would be happy to see this cover. Soundtrack king, Gaho covered the song in a rock version and totally nailed it. The arrangement, his voice, his growl, everything about this cover is just absolute fireworks.
Basically all Ateez covers.
All are gems and they add their own flavour to it
