A claim has been raised that former Captain Ken Rhee, who participated in the Ukrainian International Volunteer Forces, was captured in an actual fighting video.
On May 4th, an article titled 'Real-life battle video of Ken Rhee uploaded' was posted on an online community, DC Inside. The post included a 46-second video.
The released video contains scenes of international volunteers participating in the Ukrainian war with Russia. The creator of the post said that the soldier captured at 26 seconds of the video was Ken Rhee, saying, "Everything matches, from the black AMP headset, the helmet with the L4G24 night vision mount, to the patch on the chest, and the 3x magnifier sight mounted on the back of the Eotech." He continued, "In the international brigade, where the equipment varies from person to person, the only person wearing that equipment is Ken Rhee."
Referring to a video uploaded on his YouTube channel by a local Ukrainian citizen on the 17th of last month, the poster explained, "There was a soldier in Ken Rhee's team that obtained an arm injury and it matches with the person who was hurt on his soldier at the beginning of the video."
He continued to say, "Ken Rhee is really in the war risking his life. He is using the knowledge he had accumulated through his careers at the US State Department, the UN, and Iraq's PMC."
Meanwhile, the YouTube channel community operated by Ken Rhee garnered attention when a post was created asking for donations to support combat equipment on the 28th of last month. Mr. B, who said he was Ken Rhee's manager, said, "As Captain Ken Rhee is participating in the war on the front lines of Ukraine, many people have asked if there is any way to help. I will purchase the combat equipment that he needs with the donation and send it to him."
He's an experienced soldier. Why is it such a surprise that he's involved in the fighting?
