Lee Seung Chul recently covered "I'm In Love" by JYJ's Junsu for SBS's 'You're Surrounded' OST. However, it appears some problems have arisen from his remake as Junsu's fans feel that the OST production company presented it as a new song and the singer did not do enough to let the public know it was originally Junsu's.
C-JeS Entertainment told OSEN on June 17, "When we heard this song would be remade, all we asked was for it to be revealed that it was originally Junsu's song in any related press releases. But it seems there was a mistake in that field," saying that this was not personally related to Lee Seung Chul but more the promotional team for the OST song.
Although the situation could have been smoothed over easily as C-JeS was merely asking for more promotional press releases mentioning Junsu's name, it appears Junsu's fans took it a bit more seriously. Some have been flooding Lee Seung Chul's official Twitter to express their dissatisfaction.
On June 16, after seeing the backlash, the veteran singer wrote, "They're making it so that Junsu and I will never be able to see each other...what a shame."

C-JeS, cautious that the conflict may escalate even though they wish to remain courteous to a senior artist, have put out a statement to mention that this backlash was not a collective behavior on the part of Junsu's fandom.
The agency rep said, "The only problem we mentioned was the writing of the press releases, so we are taken aback that the situation seems to be becoming much bigger than it is. Junsu previously said on his official Facebook that it was an honor to have this musical connection with his senior in relation to this remake; in addition, we never made an objection to the reps of Lee Seung Chul in regards to the rights of the song."
