Comedian Ham Hyo Joo (29) from MBC's 'Fall Into Comedy' is reported to have been involved in a fatal accident.

Ham Hyo Joo was returning home from an outing with her colleagues early this morning (8th KST) when she was hit by a car while crossing a street to grab a taxi. She was rushed to the hospital and received surgery, but she was not able to make it through.

A representative stated, "Fellow comedians are on their way to the hospital. Because her death was caused by a car accident, there is still further investigation to carry out by the police, so her wake has not yet been set up. Once it has been carried through, her wake will be set up at the Seoul St. Mary's Hospital."

The comedian brought laughter to many in the comedy programs, 'If You Laugh, Blessings Will Come Your Way', 'Gag', 'Laugh and Laugh', and 'Fall Into Comedy'.
