Earlier today, BoA won her first K-Chart win on Music Bank since her five year absence from the music scene in Korea. When her newest track Hurricane Venus grabbed the #1 title, there's reports that DJ DOC caused some controversy and didn't give BoA her moment to shine. From the interview during the show, it seemed like DJ DOC knew BoA would win. They even said, "We'll give BoA the trophy if we win so please give it to us without hesitation." When the winner was announced, humble BoA couldn't hide her happiness. She got congratulated by everyone around her except for DJ DOC. It seems they were just joking around but some fans thought it was too much. Member Jung Jae Yong covered BoA by going in front of the camera and Lee Ha Neul acted like a little kid by getting on the floor and whining. Kim Chang Ryeol took the trophy from BoA and acted as if he had won. Their actions were titled the "grumpy performance" (I personally think they did everything as a joke and it's nothing to get angry about). One netizen said, "Lee Ha Neul threw the flowers that BoA gave them on the floor and Kim Chang Ryeol kicked them." Kim Chang Ryeol tweeted after the show, "Not so great. If Buda were a bigger company... I need to go out and buy more of our albums. In the end, I can just give them out to people. I feel kind of dirty. lol" Buda Sound is DJ DOC's company and in Korea, people use the word dirty to describe that they feel a bit pissed off. I would've liked to see DJ DOC win since they've also been gone from the music scene for an even lengthier time than BoA. But BoA deserves a lot of love as well and they should all be happy for each other.
