Singer Kim Jo Han has returned after two years with his fifth album "Soul Family With JOHAN." In a recent interview, Kim talked about the possibility of returning to the music scene, not as a soloist, but as a group with the other Solid members. There had been some confusion with the members having disagreements and problems, which is why they disbanded. Kim Jo Han and former Solid members, Lee Jun and Jung Jae Yoon, had last joined with hip-hop group Uptown and formed the group "Soultown." The only problem was that they came about at the wrong time and Soultown ended soon after their appearance. When Kim decided not to rejoin Soultown, fans immediately thought there was a quarrel between the members when that was not the case. Kim told the reporter, "When I heard and read about us (Solid members) having issues within, it was nothing but shocking. Unlike what fans were thinking, all of us still got along, and still do, very well and are inseparable." He explained that when he received the proposal to regroup as Soultown, he politely declined because, at the time, he only wanted to return with the two other members as Solid. Kim also said that he wants to return as Solid because that was the name he debuted as and gained all the fame that he has today. "I have lots of precious memories with the members, and we're still getting requests to return together as a group. Our main purpose of returning would be to bring the fans good music, and because our purpose is so simple, it makes it even more possible to make a comeback." Kim also said that during the time the trio were known as "Solid," they equally shared parts in singing the main parts of some songs and the chorus in others. They also took their own turns producing the songs. "If the three of us have the same mindset and work like we used to, then it is likely for us to make our comeback. All three of us want to regroup, so we feel that day may come very soon." Solid debuted in 1993 and had 4 hit songs, and in '97, they made their official break up of Solid. After that, Kim Jo Han began pursuing his career as a soloist in 1998, and members of Solid did not make any plans of returning for 10 years..... Until now. Noble words from the original king of R&B, but it's a little too much a little too late, sorry Jo Han, your days of glory are over. We're sending this one over to the already massive pool of Has-Beens.
